Put zee candle back JACK!!!

Next two for ya!!!

7-Young Frankenstein
Mel Brooks is the man! If you can't stand Mel Brooks (or Gene Wilder for that matter), then you and I probably don't get along that well! :) This is his major spoof of the Universal Horror movies and it is done right! The jokes are hysterical, the cast is brilliant, even most of the laboratory sets are rented from the guy that made them for the original Frankenstein (1931). This is actually a difficult film for me to review, because there's a million things to tell you! Gene Wilder plays Frederick Frankenstein, a neurosurgeon who is not thrilled about his Grandfather's reputation spilling into his professional life. He finds out he has inherited his Grandpappy's castle and winds up getting back into the dark family science! The cast is extraordinary and includes Gene Wilder (who also co-wrote this film), Madeline Khan, Marty Feldman, Cloris Leachman, Peter Boyle, Teri Garr, and Kenneth Mars! That is one hell of a comedy lineup! If you like sight gags and silly one-liners, then this is the movie for you!

8-The Shining (1980)
This movie is one of the creepy classics and not without good reason. It's directed by the late great Stanley Kubrick and contains some the creepiest imagery ever put on celluloid. As far as Horror movies go this one still scares the living shit out of people 30 years after it was made. From naked zombie women in bathtubs, sinister twins, ghostly bartenders, and elevators that release a total fucking torrent of blood to Jack Nicholson's performance as a man losing his ever-lovin' mind, this movie stands as one of the big shots of scare flicks. Not to mention Danny Lloyd's unsettling portrayal of Danny Torrence. Chances are you know the storyline and if not, then, I think you should just watch it for yourself. Better yet, watch it with a boyfriend or girlfriend. It's a perfect film for a date night! Buuwaahahahahahahahah!
